The only difference is that it had the electronic changes to make it compatible with the Blue Max series of search coils, and the only weight difference is the small Target ID display pod on top of the rod. The Classic ID has the same appearance as the Classic II with the same two knobs for adjustment. The 'front-end' electronics are not compatible with the Blue Max coil series, to include: the 4" 'Snooper' coil ( Blue Max 350), the 6½" coils ( the Blue Max 600, 5.3 Black Max and 5.3 BullsEye), the 8" coils ( Blue Max 800, Pro Scan 800, Royal 800) or the 950 size Blue Max coils. Therefore, the Classic II is limited to using the earlier 4-B type coil series and, for the most part, that limits it to the standard 8" coil it comes equipped with. The Classic II's standard coil is the 8" diameter concentric design that was developed prior to the Blue Max series of search coils. This permits the operator the ability to fine-tune the rejection of such problem trash as iron nails. The Discrimination level can adjust low enough to reject some iron, as well as accept some iron. The Classic II has two knobs to adjust the Discrimination and Sensitivity. Here are the basic differences between the Classic II and the upper-end offerings, the Classic ID, Classic IDX and the IDX Pro.Īll Classic SL series models use the same slide-in battery tray with 8-AA alkaline batteries.Īll Classic SL series models have the same 'S' rod with the trigger-toggle pod to select Pinpoint/Discriminate mode/All Metal mode. That's all he used the last several years he was able to get out for a little detecting, and it is now in my 'keeper' detector arsenal. I explained the benefits of the Classic II SL to him and located an 'as-new' Classic II for him.

He was also comfortable with an 8" coil because, as I stated, he also wanted things simple. While he could see the benefits of why I liked what I used, he also said he just wanted something basic ( that meant affordable), and simple to use ( also affordable), because all he wanted to do was hunt the local playgrounds at parks and schools while in town, but have a detector that was very capable of working homesteads, old town sites, railroad stops and sidings, and other old-use places where he wanted to discriminate nails. I demonstrated for him why the other two were perfect 'back-up' units to the IDX Pro which was my #1 detector of choice for the wide variety of sites I hunt. I told him that it was mainly a White's XLT and XL Pro and an excellent modified IDX Pro. Several years ago I was visiting him as I passed through on vacation and he said he wanted a detector and asked what I was using. I was the one who became avidly engaged in the metal detecting field, but Ed just liked to keep things simple. Unfortunately, he lived a long day's drive from me and we didn't get any late-in-life detecting in together, but I still have the wonderful memories of how I got hooked on this hobby. Ed was my only and older brother who passed away last June from cancer. Open=setup.I have a White's Clasic ll metal detector, but don't know much about the IDX Pro.I also have a Classic II ( the SL or Slim-LIne version) that was my brother's detector. U can make a file named autorun.inf in the root directory of ur dvd b4 burning, and add following line Remove the setup.xml already dragged into the project first, or overwrite it when you drag in the new one. so check on that.ĥ:> In your project put the new/edited setup.xml into the \Payloads folder. You may already be going over the limit for DVD-DL. If you don't need the additional languages, then don't add them to the project. Copy the resulting files to your disc project. If you want the extra files to be included (as found in STAMCS4_Cont_LS1.exe) then extract these with 7-Zip also. So you'll end up with something looking like this: (image not from me, just one I found whilst researching this) Don't copy the \Adobe CS4 folder itself, just everything in it. In the root of the disc you are creating, place all the files and folders in the \Adobe CS4 folder you ended up with after the extraction. You are simply removing the "Adobe CS4" text.Ĥ:> Back to your DVD project. (as an example taken from the first payload line)ĭo that to every line. But on every payload line you are changing from: NOTE: I have removed all but one of the payload lines because there are too many to post here.
